NexGard Spectra Flea, Tick & Worm Chew for Dogs

Afoxolaner — targets fleas, ticks and mites.

Milbemycin Oxime — provides activity against several internal worms and is used for heartworm prevention.

Together, these active ingredients allow NexGard Spectra to provide internal and external parasite coverage in one monthly chew.

Important: Use only as directed. NexGard Spectra belongs to the isoxazoline class of treatments. Use with caution in dogs with a history of seizures or neurological disorders and speak to your veterinarian if you are unsure whether NexGard Spectra is suitable for your dog.

NexGard Spectra can also be used as part of a treatment strategy for flea allergy dermatitis and for the treatment of certain mite infestations, including demodectic, sarcoptic and ear mites.

Does NexGard Spectra cover tapeworm?
No. NexGard Spectra does not contain praziquantel and does not provide direct treatment for tapeworm, so a separate tapeworm treatment may still be required.

NexGard Spectra is available in five weight-specific sizes, making it suitable for dogs from 2 kg up to 60 kg, with combinations of chews used for dogs above 60 kg.

The safety of NexGard Spectra has not been established during pregnancy, lactation or in breeding dogs according to South African product information. Consult your veterinarian before use in these dogs.

Give one NexGard Spectra chew every month, choosing the correct size according to your dog's current body weight.

2–3.5 kg: 9.38 mg Afoxolaner + 1.88 mg Milbemycin Oxime
3.6–7.5 kg: 18.75 mg Afoxolaner + 3.75 mg Milbemycin Oxime
7.6–15 kg: 37.5 mg Afoxolaner + 7.5 mg Milbemycin Oxime
15.1–30 kg: 75 mg Afoxolaner + 15 mg Milbemycin Oxime
30.1–60 kg: 150 mg Afoxolaner + 30 mg Milbemycin Oxime

For dogs weighing over 60 kg, use an appropriate combination of chews according to body weight.

NexGard Spectra can be offered directly by hand or added to a small amount of your dog's food. Make sure the complete dose has been swallowed.

Give once monthly.

Protection Routine: Give every month for continuous flea, tick and worm protection.

For best results, NexGard Spectra should be administered at monthly intervals throughout the year, particularly where dogs are continually exposed to fleas, ticks or worms.
