It started with a simple truth— our dogs aren’t just pets, they are another member of our families. They claim the comfiest spots, steal our socks, and fill our homes with joy (and just a little chaos).
We have discovered makers who share that same love— who design with care, craft with intention, and understand that beautiful things and wagging tails belong in the same room. Ginnabelle’s brings them all together, creating a space where thoughtful design meets everyday joy. Because when your dog is your heart and your home, every bowl, blanket, and biscuit should feel just as special as they are.
Our Story
I'm Emma, a proud mom of two wild and wonderful golden retrievers, Ginny and George, who have completely taken over my world (and my couch). Living on a farm in the middle of Mpumalanga far from the glitz of city pet boutiques, I found myself endlessly scrolling online, hunting for beautiful, well-made dog products that actually looked good in my home, and fit my busy lifestyle, and my dogs’ health needs.
What I found was beautiful: South African brands doing remarkable things in the pet industry....but not in one place, and not without the hassle of multiple carts, shipping costs and delivery dates.
So, I did what any slightly obsessed dog mom with a dream (and questionable impulse control) might do, I left my 9–5 or in my case 7-4, and built the store I had always wished existed.
More than an online store— a space to belong
Ginnabelle’s isn’t just an online store— it’s a space for connection and support. I still remember bringing Ginny home for the first time: equal parts joy and panic, Googling everything from “why is my dog hiccuping?” to “best dog-friendly cafés in Joburg.” It was wonderful, but also overwhelming.
That’s why we created The Tail End — a cozy corner of Ginnabelle’s filled with real stories, trusted advice, and helpful resources. From wholesome recipes to the best dog-friendly spots across South Africa, it’s our way of helping you raise your pup with confidence (and a sense of humour).
Because no one should have to figure it out alone— and we’ll be here, every tail wag of the way.
